> [!tldr] Slowness & Freeform I am a denizen of digital. [[My Notes]] are digital. [[PDW|My Data Journal]] is digital. [[My Obsidian-Based Project Management System]] is digital. Yet I write with pen and paper daily. [[Bullet Journaling]] is a lot of things to a lot of people. I don't do much of what others do with it. I'm not doing elaborate spreads, extensive content collections, and planning the year in advance. You can see [[How I Bullet Journal]] - but suffice to say I mostly use it for *today*. I like the journal because it slows me down. It takes time to write, and that time focuses you. And gives you a chance to sit with the thoughts. Writing them is an act of physically processing them. Notes in the journal are not part of anything bigger than themselves. They don't need to be perfect. They don't need to be scalable. They can contain doodles and fun stuff. **** # More ## Source - self
