> [!tldr] Greyscale + one other color = looks good!
I've seen the use of three-color (trichromatic) graphics in multiple places, and every time it ends up looking *really good*. It's (I think?) typically **black + white + *one* other color**[^1]. It has a very clean look, while being more interesting than straight up black and white.
You know what occurred to me this is probably just one hue with different saturation and lightness values. Arguably, this is a single color graphic. Static `H` with variable `S` & `L`.
Each of [[#Examples]] I've found are doodley-type graphics. I don't have a good word for the style. I should learn more vocab in the realm of graphic design. Cartoons? I guess just cartoons.
Trichromatic graphics are a more simplistic form of the use of limited color palettes, like you'd see in art utilizing [[Analogous Colors]].

[^1]: and, perhaps, other shades of said color.
[^2]: that was the intent, at least, I wound up re-using a bunch of previously generated images rather than making all new ones.
