> [!tldr] A mechanism for [[Low-Cost Trials]]
Time boxed challenges are a thing I'm a huge fan of. Be they [[30 Day Challenge|30 days]], or just 30 minutes, it's a process of saying:
> [!example] For the next (insert period of time) I will (act differently in some intentional way)
The goal of a time-boxed challenge is to *experiment* with different ways of doing things - **not to change your life forever**. It's expected that you'll mostly (and in many cases, completely) return back to your baseline state of behavior after the challenge. But you get a chance to learn - it's like a [[Project-Based Learning|Learning Project]]. [[Constraints Breed Creativity]] and time boxed challenges often involve constraints that get you out of your groove (or rut).

Multiple time boxed challenges also lead to the [[Accumulation of Marginal Gains]].
