> [!tldr] The concept of a "news feed" doesn't make sense in static areas
There are a few ways you can fundamentally organize and present information.
- Feed - "subscribe" to the latest in a stream of related pieces of content
- List - an ordered, but unchanging set of facts and statements
- [[Hierarchy]] - an ordered, nested set of information
- [[Graph]] - a flat heap with relationships
The "feed" is probably a subset of the concept of a "list", where you are just subscribed to and watching the most recent part of the list.
MANY TOPICS that are not well-suited to *feeds* have feeds made for them. [[Things that Don't Change]] shouldn't be presented in "feed" form. This is why I like https://ss.fitness and dislike https://www.reddit.com/r/Fitness/ and https://shop.bodybuilding.com/pages/all-stories.
