In the [[Fundamentals of Business Process Management]] and in various other forums I've seen processes named using a "start-to-end" convention, which I like. It clearly defines the bounds of the process by the inciting and terminating events.
Examples:
- order-to-cash
- application-to-acceptance
- procure-to-pay
These are a bit clearer than just "product realization", "applying", and "procurement".
