My [[PKM|Personal Knowledge Management]] practice at work is worse than my personal one. It's not simply a tooling problem ([[Techniques Trump Tools]], after all). The issue is the mixture of [[Note Types]] and a number of additional complications.
# Complications include:
- mixing [[Note Types#Fleeting Notes]], [[Note Types#Project Notes]], and [[Note Types#Meeting Notes]].
- mixing abstract notes with ones covering concrete topics.
- the need to utilize **shared** notes for some scenarios and **private** notes for others, and the content from each can't really easily be intermixed.
- how frequently your notes are **time-bound**, but also not fully [[Note Types#Fleeting Notes]].
- the need to mix in [[Task Manager]]-like considerations into the workflow.
- if you do "bucket" notes into folders, do you organize by _project_, or _person_, or _topic_, or _timeframe_?
The solution to this diverse set of constraints would be some block-based highly versatile tool like [[Notion]], but that's not an option. Instead you need a multi-tool approach.
I have been using something approaching the [[Medium Method]], mixed with a linked in [[Weekly Review]] practice, but this doesn't solve many of the problems mentioned above.
