The Oura Ring is a fitness/health-focused piece of wearable, always-on consumer electronics. Oura rings measure [[Heart Rate Variability]], [[Heart Rate Zones|Heart Rate]], Movement, Body temperature, Real-time [[Physiologial Stress]], [[Sleep Duration]], sleep stages, and other markers of [[Sleep Hygiene]]. The Oura App is consistently rated as the best of the ring-based apps, and has been stellar in my experience. It includes some guided [[Meditation]]s, and basic exercise tracking. Oura integrates with the [[Apple Health App]], which is great.
Unlike the [[Apple Watch]] and other fitness watches, the Oura Ring is a _ring_. It goes around your finger. This offers a number of advantages (and some disadvantages, because [[Nothing is Ever Free]]).
