First off - color is just wavelengths of light, but also its how we *perceive* those. "Color Theory" is a thing. I guess we are still figuring out this fairly basic concept. See also [[Serializing Colors]].

## "Opponent Process" and "Natural Color System"
There's another, apparently proprietary, color model called the **Natural Color System**. This is based on something called the "Opponent Process" which suggests there's basically 3 pairs of contrasting (or "opposing") colors.

It's weird that Cyan and Magenta just... almost never factor in. It's like we don't like those two colors.
