> [!tldr] Minimalism isn't about having fewer things, it's about having higher standards
[[Minimalism]] evokes mostly empty rooms, closets with only plain black shirts in them, or living out of a backpack.
Minimalism is named after the *how*. It's more of a [[Values, Principles, and Methods|method than principle]]. The principle of minimalism could be summarized as [[Hell Yes or No]], or perhaps [[Less, but Better]]. It's a rejection of [[Addition without subtraction is a common problem.|Unfettered accumulation]], yes, but done in the name of having very high standards. You are intentional with what meets them.
I supposed "high standardsism" just doesn't have the same right to it.
