LibreOffice seems to be the (current) de facto standard for [[Open Source]] office applications. It's pre-installed on [[Ubuntu]], at a minimum, and is available for essentially everything. It provides applications for working with [[Spreadsheet]]s, documents, presentations, drawings, databases, and a couple of other things I don't expect I'll ever use. I've played around with it in the past, it's not bad. [[Excel]] is just a super high bar to clear when it comes to "I would prefer to work with this". As Microsoft continues to push subscription-based cloud versions of their office applications, though, the prospect of a local, **unchanging** application becomes more enticing. **** # More ## Source - tinkering around on a [[Raspberry Pi]] and with [[Ubuntu]] in the past - https://www.libreoffice.org
