This is a [[Meta Cognition]] note.
I am rereading [[Thinking Fast and Slow]]. Last time I read this book was 5 years ago. I've read 100+ books since. Yet, I still remember specific examples and puzzles from this book, particularly those that I was surprised by or got wrong the first time.
# Example
I got this wrong the first time:
```puzzle
A ball and bat cost $1.10.
The bat costs $1 more than the ball.
How much did the ball cost?
```
However, _immediately_ upon "a ball and a bat cost" on this read through my brain jumped out with "**5 CENTS**", which is the correct answer I failed to realize 5 years ago.[^1]
