Heat maps are a term for a [[Maps|map]] that combines [[Positional Semantics]] with **colors** to tell a story. The [[Git]]Hub commit history is one. As is my copy of it below, made in [[Spreadsheet|Excel]].
I never thought to use Conditional Formatting to make a heat map before. Turns out it's really easy. Here's my re-creation of the typical [[git]]hub code-commit heatmap - but instead of coding it's how likely I am to eat out and work out by day of week and week of year over the past 5 & 12 years (respectively):

Neat. Also weird that I don't really see much in the way of trends - especially weird to not see a trend by day-of-week in either.
