A study out of the University College of London in 2009 put out a study that suggested "automaticity" came when trying to establish a new habit - defined as feeling only 5% discipline was required to maintain the practice[^1]. While times ranged from 18 to 254 days, the average time to acquire a new habit was **66 days**.
I've seen some evidence of this in practice -as the idea of a daily workout seemed crazy to me before [[75 Hard]], but afterwards it felt wrong *not* to workout every day.
