Goals should be:
- **Soon** - not requiring patience
- **Certain** - within your control
- **Positive** - not avoiding something bad, but getting something good
- **Measurable** - you can truly said "I did the thing"
- **Specific** - the more specific the easier it is to celebrate having done _that thing_
- **Personal** - when possible, reframe your effort as being done in service of someone you like, someone _specific_
So, if you're filling out your [[Daily Post It]], or you're making some [[OKRs]], think about the above. Not just [[SMART Goals]], but goals that _feel good_. Besides [[Productivity isn’t Inherently Good]]. Make the goals make you feel good.
