Watched a video made by the dude who wrote [[The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck]] where he described many life philosophies through a video games lens. One that stuck with me for the past couple weeks was his take on RPG games that let you build your own character.
In an RPG game the mission is fixed. You have a particular gauntlet of enemies to face on your way to save the queen or whatever. What you can do is choose your character and their stats to best suit how you want to approach the mission. Life, though, works _the opposite way_.
In life, your _character[^1]_ is fixed, it it is the mission that is variable. **You should seek a mission that is well matched for the character traits you have**.
