Batteries have worse energy density than gasoline… but it's not nothing. Here are some:

| 1 gallon of gasoline | 2722g | ~33.5kWh |
Technically speaking these are all actually measures of “**specific energy**”, which is energy per **mass**. Energy density would properly be a measure of energy per **volume**.
