So what about [[DrawIO]] in [[Obsidian]]? ![[drawio_obsidian_workflow.svg]] There are some Community Plug-ins that marry Obsidian and DrawIO together. However, my favorite workflow is to: - **Pre-requisite** install DrawIO on your computer & select as your default application for [[SVG]]s - Save all drawings as SVG be default. 1. Make a diagram in DrawIO, save it as editable SVG. 2. Move that file into Obsidian, this will embed it as a standard SVG image. **To make edits**: 1. Right-click the SVG in Obsidian and select `Open with default application` 2. Make edits in DrawIO as desired 3. Simple `ctrl+s` will save the diagram in place & Obsidian will reflect the new file 1. Note you may have to navigate away from the page your on and back to refresh the cached image to actually *see* the update. It's a great workflow, provided you're on a computer & you're cool with opening **all** SVGs in DrawIO by default. This is the exact behavior I was trying to force [[Excalidraw]] into before I figured out [[Excalidraw in Obsidian]]. **** # More ## Source - self
