> [!tldr] Nesting [[Frontmatter]] is not good
It's not just that [[Obsidian]] doesn't support nesting [[Frontmatter]] - it's that you shouldn't have [[Hierarchy|hierarchical data]] in Frontmatter to begin with.
It's okay to [[Flat Hierarchies Work Better|flatten the hierarchy]] and use a dot-syntax coding scheme if necessary. Just don't actually nest the [[YAML]] - even if it's "technically okay".
It breaks so many easy workflows - such as the [[Obsidian & CSV Structural Equivalency]].
