[[Controlled Language]]s are often *domain-specific*. They are referred to as a **Domain-Specific Language (DSL)**.
There's also **Domain-Specific [[Ontology]]**, which is essentially an extension of language with more formal semantics. A Domain-Specific Ontology (DSO?) usually sits atop a top-level ontology, like [[BFO]].
