> [!tldr] It's hard to over-appreciate the power of a concise statement.
Concision, the ability to convey that which is intended quickly, is **powerful**.
I love [[Minimalism]], in concept. Concise statements are **minimal messages**.
This is not just [[Less, but Better]], but *less **is** better*; but **you still convey your intent**. [^1]
All of this applies equally to:
- A single sentence encapsulating an idea.
- A short set conveying a message.
[[Brevity is Confidence, Length is Fear]]. Concise statements don't hide behind length. They get to the point so the point can be improved. Shortening the [[Feedback Loop]] and making things better.
[[Brevity Takes Time]]... but is usually worth it.
> [!success] Benefits
> - An idea captured in a concise statement can grow.
> - The thinking necessary to say only exactly what's necessary is forces *clarity*.
> - Restricting yourself to no fluff is a [[Constraints Breed Creativity|constraint that can breed creativity]]
> - [[You're as strong as your weakest argument]]
I'm not good at this by nature. Working on that.
This note is too long, for example.
