80% of my notes over the past week have been about how [[Index Cards are Great]]. I've covered [[Index Card Sized Messaging]], [[Index Card Sized Productivity]], and formulated [[Index Card Rules]] and [[Index Card Sized Module Templates]] for them... but not yet covered explicitly *why*.

## Clarity
The 3x5 index card is an ideal size to enable you to say what needs said, but prevent you from saying more. To achieve this, you need to [[So much of productivity, communication, and fitness advice comes down to really knowing your goal.|know what you want to accomplish]] and how to cleanly articulate it. ## Speed
Two methods.

## Reusability
Because index cards are self-contained, they can be re-used to suit many purposes.
**Example** - one index card note can become...
- A social media post
- A draft page in a book
- Part of a presentation
A stack of reusable content arguably describes all of [[My Notes]].
