> [!tldr] A simplification, which I'm pumped about
A simplification to [[Archimate 3.x]].
- Does away with Layers and moves toward *domains*
- Creates a "Common" domain for common elements
- Deprecates
- 30% fewer elements → ~~no more~~ *less* need to have [[Archimate 3.x#Subsetting]] or [[Reduced Archimate]]
- ADDED FEATURE: [[Cardinality|Multiplicity]]!
A new layered view leveraging common elements - not possible in previous Archimate:

**Composition is deprecated** - folded into *aggregation* and *grouping*
> [!note] The bottom box are **deprecated**

Looks like they *retained* the **3 flavors of interface**. So separating "technology interface" from "application interface" from "business interface" is still going to be tricky. Business Object & Data Object are also still somewhat the same thing in multiple domains.[^1]
