Breathing too fast is associated with anxiety. It's actually a bi-directional street. Anxiety causes you to breath faster and breathing too fast causes anxiety
[[Box Breathing]] & other forms of [[Intentionality|intentional]] rhythmic breathing uses this biofeedback mechanism as a control to hack into your anxiety.
There's a similar [[Reverse Biofeedback]] mechanism with the eyes.
