> [!success] Hello world! %% Currently there's **`$=dv.pages().length`** notes %% Note Count: `1945` What you're reading here are [[My Notes]]. They cover whatever topics I feel like. I wrote them using [[Obsidian]], although they originated in [[Notion]]. You're able to see them [here](https://notes-aarongilly.vercel.app/) because I use Obsidian’s native “Publish” plugin. I previously built this site using [[Quartz Publishing]] to publish them freely, but I decided to support the developers of this wonderful tool. > [!warning]- Expectations > Expectations about the notes you'll find here - **they are imperfect.** > They aren't *meant* to be perfekt. Most notes here *other* than this one were written with **me** as the expected audience. You'll find notes where I remind myself of things that may not make sense to you. See the meta [[My Notes]] note for more about their structure and history. # Approaching These Notes These notes use a similar approach as the [[Slip-Box Method]]. They are meant to be [[Evergreen Notes|Evergreen]] and [[Atomic Notes|Atomic]]. They are interconnected and relatively short. The best way to interact with them is to jump from link-to-link, use the graph view & backlinks, dive in on a particular tag, or the search bar. An alphabetically sorted exhaustive list is also available, but probably not a great way in. ## Tags Every note is associated with one or more tags (right now these tags are invisible on the published site, so this is your only entry point). Click on any of these tags to see the notes on which they were used: #art #business #clarity #coding #data #fitness #habits #happiness #health #index #language #leadership #learning #making #manufacturing #math #modeling #money #music #notetaking #philosophy #principle #productivity #psychology #quote #science #society #source #sustainability #systemdesign #technique ## Indices Some notes are tagged with #index - these are links to collections of notes related to a topic. They are like tags, but a bit more specific. For example, there's my [[Diagram Types (index)|Index of Diagram Types]]. Clicking the tag is a good entry point to other entry points. # About Me I'm a guy trying to figure things out and live each day a little better than the last. I'm married with a couple of growing sons, living in a happy house in Lawrence, KS. ![[GT9A8895_Gillespie_Original.jpeg]] I'm an engineer, coder, productivity dork, quantified self fan, and wannabe maker. I like creating things - be they physical, digital, or textual. ## My Other Stuff * I have maintained a blog ("[The Column](https://aarongilly.com)") since 2012 * I have been doing quantified self stuff since 2014, recently rebuilt my system which [you can learn about here](https://aarongilly.com/DJ) * I have been making puzzle boxes for my family to solve for the past few years, which have been living at [aaronspuzzles.com](https://aaronspuzzles.com) * I have a [podcast about movies](https://shows.acast.com/we-scene-a-movie), we're terrible * I created the "[Semantic Canvas](obsidian://show-plugin?id=semantic-canvas)" plugin for [[Obsidian]], which gives [[Obsidian Canvas]]es the power to edit note properties # Licensing These notes are licensed under the [Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Text_of_the_Creative_Commons_Attribution-ShareAlike_4.0_International_License), which is what Wikipedia uses.
